Xu Zheng casts daughter in new movie
25 Sep – It looks like Xu Zheng's daughter Xu Xiaobao is making her showbiz debut, after she was spotted filming a scene of her father's segment for the upcoming anthology film, "My People, My Homeland".
As reported on Epoch Times, several photos from behind-the-scenes went viral on social media showing the 11-year-old filming alongside Karry Wang - with sources claiming that Xu is playing a student who has a lot of interaction with the TFBoys' member.
It is noted that Xu has always been a big fan of the Chinese idol group, with the actress' mother Tao Hong saying that Karry was her daughter's most favourite artiste.
Netizens who saw the photos couldn't help but express their envy for the little girl, with some saying that Xu's casting was probably her father's gift for her.
Some also expressed frustration at how easy it was for the second generation of stars to realise their dream of stardom in showbiz compared to normal people.
Xu Zheng is most popular for his comedy films like "Lost in Thailand" and "Lost in Hong Kong".
