23 Dec – Xander Ford has recently been arrested over violence against women, following a complaint filed by his former girlfriend.

As reported on Inquirer, the news was confirmed by the Chief of Moriones police, Lt. Col. Magno Gallora Jr., who said that the member of Hasht5 was nabbed on the night of 22 December around the Pasay area for violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 issued by Manila Regional Trial Court Manila.

However, Gallora stated that Ford will be able to post bail at P18,000.

According to Ford, whose real name is Marlou Arizala, the complaint was filed by his ex-girlfriend following a heated argument. Although he thought that they have already made peace, his ex surprised him by pushing through with the case.

His management agency Star Image, on the other hand, admitted that the singer had been accused of abuse prior, and would not condone his actions if he was to be proven guilty in court.
