X-Men: Apocalypse Introduces The Horsemen

The harbingers of the apocalypse are here… in two new clips from ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.

It’s no secret that Apocalypse is coming. The ancient ancestor of all modern-day mutants, the god-like Apocalypse is building an army… and it starts with the Four Horsemen. Introducing Magneto, Psylock, Storm and Angel – the mutants who lead the charge against humanity.

And in these new videos, we get a good look at two of them.

“Angel is pretty angry,” says actor Ben Hardy, “And casts his shadow of death across the land.”

Of course, with his steel-tipped wings firing feather-like projectiles at his enemies, it’s easy to see why Apocalypse would want the angelic mutant on his side. And it looks as though the X-Men have quite the fight ahead of them.

And that’s only the beginning.

Ororo Munroe (aka Storm) has also returned, this time played by Alexandra Shipp.

“Storm’s got this darkness to her,” she explains. “Apocalypse makes her stronger and more powerful…”

Firing off bolts of lightning towards the X-Men, she’s met with force by Cyclops and his pals as they do everything they can to fight her off.

But can the X-Men really stand up to the Four Horsemen?

They already look pretty powerful all by themselves… but when Angel and Storm team up with Magneto and Psylocke, it looks as though they’re going to give the X-Men hell.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Beast. Newcomers include Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Oscar Isaac as the villain, Apocalypse.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ heads to cinemas on 18 May 2016.
