Beyonce Knowles has proven that she was killing it on the microphone long before she became a worldwide musical megastar, as a vintage clip of the singer, aged seven, is gaining momentum online.
At aged seven, we were probably drawing pictures of houses or playing hopscotch, we certainly were not dressed in Dorothy’s iconic costume about to launch into a show-stopping rendition of The Wiz’s ‘Home’ in a children’s singing competition.
A pint-sized Beyonce takes to the stage without a shed of fear showing in her face or her delivery as she hits the first note and soars into the famous ballad previously performed by musical diva’s Diana Ross and Whitney Houston.
It’s clear that baby Bey has ‘star quality’ that exceeds her years as she commands the stage and the judge exclaims that she “better get her to sign something… before she starts charging for it.”
