Wong Cho Lam to withdraw from new series

17 Mar – Despite previously scheduled to shoot a new costume comedy with TVB in April, it was reported that Wong Cho Lam is withdrawing from the said project to focus on his new position in the company.

As reported on On CC, the comedy actor, who was made the new Chief Creative Officer to assist the Eric Tsang (who is the Deputy General Manager and Special Advisor to the Executive Committee) in the development of upcoming variety content back in January, admitted to the media that he is currently busy with reforming variety shows for the broadcaster.

"I'm rather busy with the variety shows and would rather concentrate on assisting with the content first. [Eric] and I are currently working on it," he said, though is mum on the details of their plans.

On the other hand, Sisley Choi, who was supposed to work with Wong in the new project, stated that she has yet to hear about it.

"I am just waiting for the arrangements right now," she added.

Asked if she would feel disappointed if the project did not push through or if Wong is replaced by another, Sisley stated that she is certain that Wong has a better arrangement.

"I will just wait for the company's decision. Any arrangement is good," she said.
