Wong Cho Lam defends Angelababy against online backlash
24 May – Wong Cho Lam recently expressed displeasure over the backlash against his "Keep Running" team member Angelababy.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was asked about netizens' recent criticisms against the actress for not being thoroughly involved in a water game in the latest episode of the show, Wong said that people were only nitpicking over insignificant issue.
"How can you criticise her based on one episode? We have done a lot of episodes, and she has always been a hardworking member. It just happened that she was having her period at the time," he said.
Wong stressed that Angelababy didn't even ask to be given any leeway, but that the staff decided to take special care of her that day.
"But for the past six seasons, she has always worked hard," he added.
Wong also sang praises for the actress for gracefully dealing with her critics.
"I just hope that the internet won't be too harsh on her," he added.
