An Australian woman has marked her love to KFC with a tattoo of the brand’s name on her lip.

Tabatha Andrade, 20, from Melbourne, Australia, now has the three letter acronym KFC – short for Kentucky Fried Chicken – permanently inked on the inside of her bottom lip.

“I told my parents I wanted to get a tattoo, and they said I could get inked with something that was important to me,” she told Caters of her decision.

“I was on holidays up in Queensland when the urge just suddenly came to me, and I decided to finally do it. KFC is my favourite fast food. I go these at least once a week, if not more.

The woman, who works in banking, claims to love the fast food chain so much it has inspired aa nickname for her and a name for her dog.

“It does mean a lot to me, so it seemed fitting to get this tattoo. I really love chicken. All my friends call me the chicken connoisseur. I even named my dog ‘nugget’, because I’m obsessed with chicken nuggets.”

She has since enjoyed the bemused reaction she gets from people she tells about her tattoo – and says her parents are “okay” with it.

“I showed my parents when I came home, and they thought it was fake. But they’re okay with it now.

“The tattoo artist laughed so hard when I told him what I wanted. “It didn’t hurt at all. It only took about two minutes.

“I love the shock I get from people when I pull down my lip and show them. It’s always so funny.”

This isn’t the first time KFC has hit headlines recently.

Last month, the chain unveiled a gravy-scented candles for those who want to smell the meaty condiment in their homes all day long.

Meanwhile, unusual tattoos have been hitting headlines recently, after singer Kelsy Karter claimed to have Harry Styles’ face tattooed on her cheek.

However, she subsequently came clean about the tattoo being a fake, intended as a publicity stunt.
