Woman charged with murder appears in court
A 32-year-old woman has been charged with the murder of a woman in Barnstaple, Devon.
Cheyanne Loder, of Gorwell Road, Barnstaple, is accused of murdering 37-year-old Hayley Adams at a property in Gorwell Road on Saturday.
Ms Loder appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to confirm her name, age and address.
She was remanded in custody and will appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
Det Insp Dave Egan, who is leading the investigation for Devon and Cornwall Police, said on Saturday “officers and paramedics attended, and a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene".
"Her next of kin are being supported by specialist officers."
He added: “We continue to ask that people do not to speculate on social media about the circumstances around this matter.”
