Ramírez, who previously starred as Gianni Versace in 2018's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, will appear in the show's upcoming second season which premieres this October.
According to Variety, season 2 of the show, which is set in Australia, will debut on October 19 on Peacock in the US, consisting of seven 30-minute episodes.
Created, written and directed by Abe Forsythe, season 1 of the show followed Josh Gad as a single father named Gary who meets Isla Fisher's advice columnist Mary after their cars collide.
After witnessing Mary comfort his son during a panic attack, the pair start a relationship but Mary is hiding a dark secret of the furry kind.
Joining them for season 2, Ramírez will star as Anton, Mary's former professor who is set to reveal even more secrets from her past.
"In the second season of Wolf Like Me, Mary and Gary leap into the next phase of their relationship and face their biggest challenge yet: pregnancy. As much as they try to have a 'normal' pregnancy, it seems impossible with so many questions looming over them," reads the synopsis for season 2.
"Will their child be a baby or a wolf pup? Just how long can they keep things secret from the rest of their family? And will what happened in the outback come back to haunt them? But when Mary's former professor, Anton, suddenly reappears in her life, new secrets from Mary’s past are revealed, leaving Mary and Gary to question whether they're even meant to be together."
Also appearing in season 2 are Ariel Donoghue, Emma Lung, Honour Latukefu and Anthony Taufa.
Wolf Like Me season 2 will premier October 19 on Peacock in the US, while a UK release date on Prime Video is to be confirmed.
