27 Feb – Largest Electronic Music Conference & Festival, WMW 2020 will be held from 12 to 15 March at Zouk Genting.

What's new this year is the addition of re:Wired. The new pillar will see WMW partnering with Sync Summit to create a series of panels, keynotes and workshops focusing on the intersection of music, gaming and esports. It aims to educate people from the music and game industries on how to succeed in getting their music into games.

"As the premier event programming company, in sync and composition for all types of media, Sync Summit is committed to create and deliver content that will deliver to Wired Music Week's attendees with insight, information, intelligence and access to the best practices and the people essential to doing business in music and games," said Sync Summit CEO Mark Frieser in a statement.

Part of re:Wired is a workshop entitled "Steps For Success In Sync", which will be presented by Frieser himself.

re:Wired is just one of the new pillars introduced at WMW 2020. Another new one was the previously announced Wired Black, which will include industry panels and keynotes that shed light on the underground music scene to showcase an alternative side to electronic music.

Wired Black includes the opening keynote, "Evolving As An Asian DJ Into the International Circuit", by Thai DJ, Nakadia, based on her own success in breaking through to the Western market.

Other highlights include the following panels: "The Evolution Of The Revolution", which will discuss the evolution of the clubbing and rave culture in Asia over the last two decades; "Sustainability & Underground Events", inspired by the conference theme of sustainability within all aspects of the global electronic music industry; and "The Future Of Journalism, Borders And Beyond", which discusses modern day music journalism.

Of course, aside from these pillars, there are also side activities like Wellness Sessions with April Kuan, Dance Music Trivia, Sunday Brunch Party, Giant Beer Pong Challenge, Pro-Networking Drinks Sessions and the first edition of DJCity Malaysia Linkup.

The likes of 22bullets, Adam Khan, Arkham Knights, Markus Schulz, Weird Genius and more will also be heating up the dance floors.
