Ever felt like your parents just didn’t get you? We think it’s safe to say that we’ve all been there at some point or another. But for Willow and Jaden Smith, the concept seems a little foreign. In fact, they basically can’t stop raving about their parental unit in an interview with Pharrell Williams for Interview Magazine. And hey, if our parents were Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, we probably couldn’t stop raving about them either.
As Willow explains, their parents taught them a lot about wisdom, grace, and humility throughout their childhoods. She says, “Growing up, all I saw was my parents trying to be the best people they could be, and people coming to them for wisdom, coming to them for guidance, and them not putting themselves on a pedestal, but literally being face-to-face with these people and saying, ‘I’m no better than you, but the fact that you’re coming to me to reach some sort of enlightenment or to shine a light on something, that makes me feel love and gratitude for you.'”
Older brother, Jaden Smith, shared a similar sentiment, saying that his parents are his “biggest role models,” and that, “it all comes from a concept of affecting the world in a positive way and leaving it better than it was than when we came.”
Wow. It seems like Will and Jada are doin’ something majorly right when it comes to being parents. MAJOR PROPS, GUYS!
