Last month, we found out that the Democratic National Convention’s email network had been hacked by the Russian government.

On Friday, Wikileaks decided to share a bunch of those emails — over 19,000 of them — and some seriously weird stuff is coming to light…including one interesting story about Ariana Grande.

According to Gawker, one email exchange shows that the White House had considered invited Ariana Grande to perform for the president at a potential gala, only for her name to be immediately disqualified thanks to that whole donut-licking incident from last summer. Yikes.

The email shows a seriously thorough breakdown of exactly why Ariana wouldn’t be taking the stage, including this quote from Deputy Compliance Director Kevin Snowden: “Video caught her licking other peoples’ donuts while saying she hates America; Republican Congressman used this video and said it was a double standard that liberals were not upset with her like they are with Trump who criticized Mexicans; cursed out a person on Twitter after that person used an offensive word towards her brother.”

It goes on from there, explaining each point in explicit detail — and though Ari released an apology for her behavior, the committee simply wasn’t swayed.

“Nope, sorry,” responded White House employee Bobby Schmuck. And just like that, the whole thing was shut down. We guess this “Dangerous Woman” was just a little too risqué for the WH. Sorry, Ari.

It’s gotta hurt to find out a year down the road that you were this close to performing for the president…but we’re sure Ari will make do just fine with her incredible albums, amazing tours and delectable perfume lines. Life’s a learning experience!
