Whoopi Goldberg weighs in on Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's bundle of joy: 'One of those babies is going to pop out looking like me'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the arrival of the royal baby on Monday, and the hosts of The View were ready to offer their congratulations — and, of course, their thoughts and opinions.
“He’s adorable,” Joy Behar said of Prince Harry, who gave a short interview to the press after welcoming his first son, weighing in at 7 lbs., 3 oz.
All the hosts admired Harry’s down-to-earth approach to the announcement.
Host Whoopi Goldberg, who knows Prince Harry, agreed that he seemed happy.
“He’s got a new baby, he’s got an old lady that he likes, and life is good,” she said.
The new royal baby is the first mixed-race baby born into the royal family in recent history, and Goldberg made note of that as well.
“This is their first, there might be others. One of those babies is gonna pop out looking like me,” she said. “And that will be something to crow about.”
It wasn’t the first time Goldberg weighed in on the changing face of the royal family. Back in 2017, she shared her thoughts after Meghan and Harry announced their engagement, saying, “The hue of the royal family is about to shift, which is kind of wonderful because a lot of little girls have been told, this won’t happen for you.”
