Wes Anderson to shoot a musical film in France

Reportedly, the "Isle of Dogs" director will be releasing his next movie in 2020

Wes Anderson wants to tackle a musical film next.

16 Aug – In about two years from now, we will see another Wes Anderson masterpiece in cinemas. The director is reportedly aiming to film his next movie by next year.

Anderson's next project will be a post-World War II musical film, according to The Playlist, who got wind of it from French publication Sud Ouest.

Most likely it'll be a French musical since the director is purportedly planning to film it in Paris, where the Texan has been living for quite some time.

No other info is known so far, except that it is expected to begin filming in Angoulême in February 2019.

It is speculated that it might be released later that same year at film festivals, though it's more likely to get a theatrical release in early 2020.

Anderson's most recent movie is "Isle of Dogs", released just a few months ago and has received mostly positive reception.

Fans would also remember his other movies such as "The Grand Budapest Hotel", "Fantastic Mr. Fox", and "The Darjeeling Limited", which have varying styles but are all uniquely Anderson.
