Your Weekly Tarot Card Reading Knows You're Feeling Stuck

You don't need to know the difference between a three-card and a Celtic cross spread to get the most out of a tarot card reading. All you need: your Sun sign! Here's what I do: Shuffle my tarot deck and pull out the cards in order from Aries to Pisces, plus one general card for everyone so that you can get specific advice around your personality. Let’s go!

A GENERAL CARD FOR EVERYONE: THE HANGED MAN

The Hanged Man has neutral energy—it's neither positive nor negative. Nothing much seems to be really going on right now. You might feel a little lethargic or frustrated, without a plan of how to galvanize yourself into action. So just let it be. Let reality be reality, and just hang out for a while. Don’t try to force anything. Look at yourself and your situation through a variety of lenses, seeking a different perspective. One will come, and THEN it will be time for action again.

ARIES: THE EMPRESS

Revel in the close connections you have with your family, friends, pets, loved ones, and admirers. Invest all of your spare time and energy in being around people you love and like. The Empress shows this is where your heart is. This card says you already know how you can revive your spirits fastest. Celebrate love!

TAURUS: KNIGHT OF WANDS

The Knight of Wands is inviting you to go on an adventure with him—are you ready, Taurus? It’ll be a journey or expedition someplace new, and it's probably a little unplanned or spontaneous. There’ll be unexpected twists, new people, hilarious escapades, and a whole lot of fun and laughter. Buckle up and say "yes" to something thrilling this week.

GEMINI: THE DEVIL

Gem, if anyone has a ~devil side~, it’s you. You know you can be shady. You can tell when that side of you is itching to come out—usually, you're triggered by someone else’s unbearable attitude. Well, think twice, Gem. Getting up to no good might be fun at the time, but there’s always a price to pay. If you get embroiled in this situation, you’ll be in it for a long time, when actually you’re longing to escape. Focus on the exit door…not the knife drawer!

CANCER: STRENGTH

This card is a sign that you’re going through some intense, but satisfying, personal development. Hardship is usually the only thing that truly changes us, so it’s likely that this all started from a blow or a loss. It caused you to do some hard thinking and give yourself some tough love. You’re transforming into a new version of your old self, better suited to your new circumstances. Let this change unfold, and be kind to yourself along the way.

LEO: PAGE OF SWORDS

First it’s on, then it’s off, then you’re not sure. The Page of Swords has got you pulled in all directions, not knowing which way is up! A situation you’re trying to figure out keeps on morphing and shape-shifting into something else. Leo, focus on your own opinion, strategy, and actions. Do what you have to do, and let everything else adapt to YOU for a change. The more resolved you are, the faster things will settle down.

VIRGO: SEVEN OF WANDS

Others want what you have. This could be taken as a compliment, but I know it will make you feel a bit on edge. Virgo, don’t let ~imposter syndrome~ get to you. You work harder than anyone, and you deserve the good things you have. Just keep on being fabulous and have total confidence in your performance. Own your position. Fill that space. No one can take this away from you.

LIBRA: TEMPERANCE

Temperance is a good vibe for you, Libra, because it’s all about re-establishing balance (your thing!) after a period of discord or rapid transformation. You are finding your feet again, and it feels like a big relief. You need stability and you like to know where you stand. This week, you finally will.

SCORPIO: KNIGHT OF CUPS

An exciting, sexy, charming person enters your life this week, Scorpio. They could be a fellow water sign (Pisces, Cancer, or a fellow Scorpio), and they’re likely to be a real admirer of yours. Maybe that feeling is mutual! It’s always nice to flirt a little. Have some fun with this new cutie. You never know where this might go…

SAGITTARIUS: THE TOWER

Something you’ve suspected for a long time is coming to a head this week. TBH, it’s a relief. You've been worried about this eventuality for some time, and when it happens, you can actually deal with it. The Tower isn’t always the nicest of cards to receive because it means something's ending, but it’s always for the best in the long run. Face this head-on, and rebuild on a firmer foundation now that the ~wobbly~ structure has gone.

CAPRICORN: NINE OF WANDS

Cap, you’ve got this. The Nine of Wands is a promise that your obstacles are not half as bad as you believe them to be, and you’re going to be ah-mazed at how easily you can tackle them. It’s worthwhile because on the other side of this barrier lies a smooth and easy pathway. Get to it as fast as you can. Face your obstacles and move forward.

AQUARIUS: TWO OF SWORDS

You’re not one for procrastination. You know your own mind very well, and you’re assertive about your opinions and ideas. But this situation has lingered for much longer than usual. Maybe you don’t believe there is a ~good~ option, so you haven't made a move. The Two of Swords sweeps in, because that was the wrong call. You DO need to make a decision here and get things moving again. Fate isn’t going to resolve this—you need to. Look at the pros and cons, then choose. You will feel a huge weight lift from your shoulders when you do.

PISCES: FIVE OF COINS

You’re a sentimental type, Pisces, and you can mourn the loss of something for a very long time. The Five of Coins hints that dwelling on one of these past losses is no longer about processing or healing. It's just navel gazing, and it's preventing you from moving on. So, distract yourself. Put this ~cold case~ back on the shelf and go do something fun. Soon enough you’ll have forgotten this angst, and be back on track.
