Weekend Guide (29-31 December): Silent Disco Asia NYE, Twilight: Flea & Feast

The last weekend of 2017 promises to take partying to a whole new level, with events at locations like the ArtScience Museum, along with an expanded visual display for the annual Marina Bay Countdown.

There is also daytime fun for kids and foodies alike at Twilight: Flea & Feast indoor bazaar at Suntec Singapore.

Silent Disco Asia NYE 2017-2018

This year’s Silent Disco Asia New Year’s Eve party takes place at the glass atrium space in ArtScience Museum, where revellers get a view of the fireworks while dancing the night away to whichever tunes they prefer, be it pop or techno, thanks to three different DJs playing simultaneously. There will also be free beer courtesy of local micro-brewery Crossroads Brewing Company Singapore for early arrivals.

Twilight: Flea & Feast

For some family fun head down to this bazaar inspired by Australia’s street food markets, aiming to bring the trendiest and tastiest foods from around the globe to the heart of Singapore. Visitors can look forward to a delicious food bazaar with over 40 vendors, movies under the stars, a flea market, performances and a children’s bouncy castle.

Saturday Sketching

Participants of all ages will draw inspiration from selected works of painting and sculpture from The Artist’s Voice exhibition at Parkview Museum to create sketches and drawings of their own. Each hour-long session begins with a brief 10-minute introduction of the works and demonstration by the Museum Assistants. Essential drawing materials will be provided.

Marina Bay Countdown Celebrations

At The Float @ Marina Bay, revellers can shop for F&B and lifestyle products at the outdoor bazaar, or enjoy a picnic while enjoying the fireworks and light projections on the Merlion, Art Science Museum and The Fullerton Hotel. The adjacent Civic District will become a car-free activity zone where people can enjoy free outdoor activities such as the Health Promotion Board’s Fitness Countdown Dance Party, a sunset yoga session by Yoga Seeds, group exercises by ActiveSG, music performances by local talents at the National Arts Council’s Music@Empress and movie screenings.

Aloha 2018 New Year’s Eve Party
