Watch Sherri Shepherd Greet a Stranger in Her Hallway in ‘Jean of the Joneses’ (Video)
It’s usually the matriarch in her pajamas who doesn’t want to greet a tall stranger in her hallway late at night — but when that mom is Sherri Shepherd, the opposite might be true.
In Stella Meghie’s winning “Jean of the Joneses,” the former “View” co-host plays the frosty uptown mother of a slacker novelist named Jean and is forced to take in the girl while she grapples with her demons.
The film was widely praised at its SXSW Film Festival debut in March, and stars Taylour Paige in the title role, with memorable support from Shepherd, Gloria Reuben, Erica Ash and Mamoudou Athie (of the upcoming Tom Hanks thriller “The Circle”).
