Watch Jenny Slate and Nick Kroll Bond Over Beers and Self-Pity in a Clip from 'My Blind Brother' (Exclusive)

Rose (Jenny Slate) is in a sensitive state when she first meets hapless copy store manager Bill (Nick Kroll) in the new comedy My Blind Brother. Her boyfriend was just killed by bus, chasing after her as she dumped him.

“I’m a superficial narcissist,” the guilt-ridden Rose tells him over beers at a bar they’ve met after the funeral (watch the exclusive clip above). “I’m lazy and resentful,” Bill empathizes.

Written and directed by Sophie Goodhart (The Locksmith), My Blind Brother also stars Adam Scott as Robbie, Bill’s haughty, visually impaired sibling who drags Bill along on endurance-testing athletic endeavors. Their relationship will be further tested when they both fall for the woman.

Which brings us back to the pity party above, as a tipsy Rose and Bill plot to redeem themselves by tending to baby elephants in Africa.

You know what they say about baby elephants: total Afrodisiac. (They don’t actually say that.) But you can probably guess where this conversation is leading these two. [Cue music: bow-chicka-wow-wow.]

My Blind Brother, which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March, is now in theaters, on-demand, and iTunes.
