Wang Leehom denies wife ruining upcoming tour

23 Jul - Wang Leehom has denied reports that his wife Lee Jinglei has cost him a concert tour due to her numerous demands from concert partners.

As reported on Tencent, sources recently claimed that Wang, who hasn't been on tour since the last one in 2014, was set to embark on his new tour next year to promote his upcoming new album.

However, the deal reportedly fell through after Lee made a lot of demands from concert partners so that her husband would be able to spend more time with their two daughters.

These demands reportedly include reducing Wang's rehearsal and other working hours, the freedom to choose the venues, transport arrangements, and guest stars.

It was also alleged that Lee had previously meddled in her husband's work before, when she supposedly cancelled a lot of interviews during the promotional tour of his concert film, "Open Fire" - resulting in the lack of publicity for the movie.

However, when asked about it recently, Wang stated that none of the reports are true.

"We have already chosen the partners for our new tour and we're currently in the midst of preparation," he said.

As for the other rumour, Wang said that the film had a limited release in selected theatres in Taiwan, and that it was intended to only be shown for three days. Wang stressed that his wife was not involved in the process.
