Wang Leehom confirms divorce rumours
15 Dec – Singer-songwriter Wang Leehom recently confirmed news that he and wife Lee Jinglei have filed for divorce.
The American-born Wang announced the news on Facebook on 15 December, writing, "Jinglei and I have a very simple and private life, so I will not respond to any media. In these years of our marriage, I have not been an adequate partner and I am sorry. We have different ideas and future plans, and decided to be apart."
"Although the application has been made, we will always be a family. I hope that the outside world will give us some space and privacy. Thank you for your concern," he added.
Rumours of the divorce was first published by a Taiwanese tabloid, stating that the couple have completed the formal procedures for their divorce. Prior to that, fans noticed that both Leehom and Jinglei have rarely shared photos of each other on social media unlike they would in the past.
The two tied the knot in 2013 and have three children together.
