Waa Wei feels "different" being nominated after becoming a mother

22 Jul – Waa Wei recently expressed happiness over her six nominations for the 31st Golden Melody Awards.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer who was nominated for her work in her new album, "Hidden, Not Forgotten", stated that it was also the first nomination she received since becoming a mother.

"It feels very different. I was holding the baby and coaxing him to sleep as I was standing in front of the TV and hearing my name. Looking at the title of the album, there was no screaming, just a quiet joy," she said.

Waa also expressed her gratitude to everybody who were involved in the making of the album, as well as the organiser and the fans for their support.

The singer received six nominations at the said awards, including Song of the Year for her titular song.

Waa surprised many late last year by announcing that she had registered her marriage with boyfriend and actor Chris Lung, and was pregnant with their first baby.
