The Voice US season 23 spoilers follow.

The Voice US has crowned the winner of season 23, as coaches Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, Chance the Rapper and Blake Shelton battled it out to have one of their contestants take the win.

In the end, it was beginner's luck for Niall, as he won his first ever season as coach, with his contestant Gina Miles crowned the winner.

Miles initially auditioned with American Idol judge Katy Perry's 'The One That Got Away' and performed a trio of huge hits in the final: Taylor Swift's 'Style', Sinéad O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and Billy Joel's 'New York State of Mind'.

For his final season on the competition, Blake had to settle for second and fifth places, with his acts Grace West and NOIVAS, respectively. Kelly came third with her act D Smooth, while Chance was fourth with Sorelle.

Host Carson Daly noted it was "the closest margin of victory in Voice history", before announcing the winner. As Gina was crowned, Niall ran up and the pair exchanged a huge hug.

When country star Blake announced he was stepping down from the show earlier this year, he explained in a statement: "I think being a stepdad has changed my perspective in that I’m not the first person that I think about anymore.

"Even to the smallest little things when you go, 'I think I’ll do this', the very next thought is always, 'Well, wait a minute. How’s that going work?'" he continued, referring to his wife Gwen Stefani's three boys.

"I think the only way for me to really do that right is to step away from being committed to something like The Voice that demands a lot of your time."

Country music legend Reba McEntire will replace him when the show returns. Will she repeat Niall's first season win?

The Voice US airs on NBC and Peacock in the US.
