Executives at Conde Nast and Indochine Media are gearing up to relaunch Vogue Singapore.
Following a short-lived launch in the mid-1990s, bosses announced on Thursday that they will unveil the 27th edition of the magazine as a multimedia brand later this year.
The English-language print issue will be published under an agreement with Indochine Media, home of titles including Esquire, Luxury Guide and Robb Report.
"Vogue Singapore rejoins the market at a time when Singapore's local fashion design and talent are rising in the country and across the entire region," said Wolfgang Blau, chief operating officer and president at Conde Nast International. "Vogue Singapore will play a vital role in boosting and supporting that talent as well as in bringing regional and international ideas to this edition of Vogue."
Leaders at the company hope Vogue Singapore will offer readers a new lens across the fields of fashion, lifestyle, and culture. The new magazine will see Vogue expand its reach across Asia, with versions already established in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand.
"We are thrilled to announce the launch of Vogue Singapore - Vogue's 27th edition globally. Indochine Media has always been ahead of the curve with our print and digital expertise and we are excited to expand our portfolio with Vogue and have the opportunity to showcase Singapore globally," added Michael von Schlippe, president of Indochine Media.
An editor-in-chief for the new Vogue Singapore has not yet been named.
