You might have seen several people in Singapore spotting waist belts in garish white or yellow with the words “OFF-WHITE” embroidered across. Well, the man behind the high-end streetwear brand made a hush-hush visit to Singapore on Tuesday (14 Nov) for the launch of his streetwear collaboration with Nike entitled “Ten Icons Reconstructed”.

The collaboration was exclusively launched at Dover Street Market Singapore and consisted of sneakers and exclusive T-shirts. Based on the fashion retail store’s Instagram, fans were seen welcoming the 37-year-old at the store and requesting for autographs.

Prior to the launch of Off-White back in 2014, Abloh had worked with several DJs to produce pieces for streetwear brand Been Trill. He also founded the now-defunct streetwear brand Pyrex Vision, which closed after a year.

The graphic designer is best known for designing the covers of rapper Kanye West’s albums “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” and “Watch the Throne”, for which he earned a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package.
