Vincent Wong admits being lucky in Year of the Rat
14 Feb – Vincent Wong would not deny that the Year of the Rat had been a good and lucky one for him - having not only won multiple awards both in music and television, but also won TV King for the second time.
In an interview for the Lunar New Year to welcome the Year of the Ox, the TVB actor acknowledged that 2020 had not been a good year for lots of people, as many had lost jobs and opportunities due to the pandemic - which is why he is grateful that he was still given the opportunity to work.
"Moreover, there are even more new attempts being made, including starring in a movie and releasing a new song that everybody loves. It has enabled me to progress and grow step by step," he said.
Winning Best Actor again for his role in "Legal Mavericks 2", Vincent stated that he was very grateful as it marked a significance in his journey as an actor and an important part of his life.
"After winning the first time [in 2018], I seemed to have forgotten the goal that I set. I thank the company for giving me this award again. It had reminded me of my goal, which is a very simple one. I just want to be an actor and enjoy acting. So this journey has really allowed me to learn to let go a lot," he said.
