Vilma Santos supports son and Jessy Mendiola
25 Jul - Congresswoman and former actress Vilma Santos recently defended son Luis Manzano over allegations that he cheated on ex-girlfriend Angel Locsin with new squeeze, Jessy Mendiola.
As reported on Chisms, the former "Darna", who admitted to have met Mendiola, stated, "[Luis and Jessy] are mature enough to handle such situations. That's why I'm telling them to be calm, relax. No need to throw fits."
She also denied that her son only dates sexy stars, since three of the women linked to him – Jennylyn Mercado, Angel Locsin, and now Jessy Mendiola – have been in the FHM Philippine's Sexiest Woman list. Santos said that it was just a coincidence.
"It's not his fault. It may just be a chance. Maybe my son is a good man, so that's why they love him," she said.
Manzano also commented about his mother's meeting with Mendiola recently, saying that the congresswoman was only checking up on him.
"[She also] wants to check up on Jessy regarding all the unwarranted bashing going her way," he said.
