Video-Game Agency DDM Taps Stephanie Jorgl as Head of Business Development

Digital Development Management (DDM) has hired Stephanie Jorgl, who has more than 17 years of experience at a range of tech, gaming and entertainment companies including Apple, Marmalade Technologies and the Recording Academy, as senior business development director.

Jorgl, who will be based in DDM’s San Francisco office, will focus on new opportunities in the company’s core areas of gaming and entertainment as well as work to expand DDM’s business in additional sectors including technology, music, interactive agencies and branding agencies. She reports to DDM president Joe Minton.

Most recently, Jorgl spent four years as head of ecosystem at game-development engine vendor Marmalade Technologies, where she developed and managed relationships with platform, service and content partners, game studios and game publishers. Prior to Marmalade, she was an independent marketing, branding and strategy consultant for entertainment, technology, mobile and games companies. Jorgl also has worked for companies including Organic Inc., Opera Software, the Recording Academy and Apple, where she was a marketing manager for Apple.com.

“We are thrilled to have Steph join our international team of game-industry experts,” Minton said in announcing her hire. “Games are increasingly an important channel for a wide variety of entertainment and technology companies, interactive agencies and brands, and Steph is perfectly positioned to connect these companies, brands and agencies with DDM’s leading game industry experts, game development studios, publishers, IP rights holders and optimized distribution channels.”

Northampton, Mass.-based DDM, founded in 2006, says it has secured over $650 million in development deals and more than 300 agreements across its studio representation, consulting and game production services.
