Victoria Beckham focused on making fashion more sustainable

Victoria Beckham is focused on finding ways to make her fashion brand more sustainable.

The British designer is one of the busiest names in the industry, as she not only runs her eponymous label but also collaborates with the team at Reebok on sportswear collections.

But looking to the future, Beckham is determined to make her labels as eco-friendly as possible.

"I want to make my woman feel like the best version of herself, whether that's through beauty or through fashion," she said in a video celebrating her cover interview for the December 2019 issue of Vogue Polska. "I think we have a lot to do, with regards to educating ourselves and challenging mills that we work with to work on sustainable fabrics. But I think we all have a responsibility; we have a lot of catching up to do."

For the cover of the Polish fashion publication, Beckham is seen posing in a beige suit and white shirt from her pre-spring/summer 2020 collection, while in other images from the photoshoot, she wears an emerald green velvet suit and a chic white suit with black buttons. The designer was photographed by Alexi Lubomirski, with Lisa Eldridge in charge of make-up and Ken Paves tasked with styling her hair in a loose chignon.

Elsewhere in the short clip, Beckham discussed the benefits of her celebrity status, particularly in relation to being able to use her platform to promote positive causes.

"I think if you are famous and you can use that for a good cause, if you can use that and use your voice in a positive way, then I think fame is great," the 45-year-old mused. "If I can inspire anybody to just follow their dreams, however many times you're told 'No', then that's my job done."

The new edition of Vogue Polska hits newsstands on 14 November.
