Vice Ganda is not setting his eyes on winning Best Actor

18 Dec – Vice Ganda's goal, first and foremost, is to entertain people through his new movie, which is why he is not going to even dream of winning Best Actor at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

As reported on Rappler, the actor who plays the lead in the new comedy superhero movie, "Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad", shared that he prefers seeing his fans laugh and enjoy his movie rather than winning an acting award.

"I don't think I act well. I guess I'm just funny. I don't want to pretend and say I am a great artiste and actor," he said.

Ganda added that the greatest achievement for him is making people laugh when they watch his movies.

On the other hand, when asked why he decided to do a superhero project, albeit a funny one, Ganda said that he wanted to do something iconic like "Darna" or "Lastikman".

"I want to be able to have someone to do a remake [of the movie] when I am older and no longer in showbiz," he added.
