Vice Ganda would never leave ABS-CBN

18 Jan – Vice Ganda recently vowed that he will never ever leave ABS-CBN, as the network had never forsaken him when his show, "It's Showtime" was at its lowest.

As reported on ABS-CBN News, the comedian and host, who shared his thoughts in the recent episode of the said show, said that the show had suffered during the time that rival programme, "Eat Bulaga" was at its peak with the introduction of the love team AlDub (Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza).

"During AlDub, I felt like no one was watching "Showtime". Like the whole Philippines was focused on AlDub. It was like, you were committing the biggest sin if you watch Showtime at the time," he said.

Ganda stated that it was the time where people would fight on social media when it comes to the two shows - and it was so bad he thought that his show would have been cancelled.

"But that did not happen. ABS-CBN did not [cancel the show]. I was not dropped. The show was not dropped," he said.

And for this reason alone that Ganda would never do the same to the network despite its current issues stemming from the failure to renew its license.

"When that had happened in my life, ABS did not leave me. They didn't leave even when we were miserable and almost dead. So now that it is happening to ABS, I will not leave them," he added.
