Resorts World Sentosa is pairing up with veteran Hong Kong actress Nancy Sit to produce an upcoming Mandarin musical entitled “Super Mommy”, which will be staged in May and June this year.

The show tells of the modern-day struggles of a three-generation family who has to care for a grandfather diagnosed with dementia. The cast will feature eight children, two of whom will take on leading roles.

The 67-year-old television star was in Singapore on Saturday (10 Feb) to pick eight talents after witnessing the selection of 14 finalists by executive producer Vanessa Lin during a public audition held at RWS.

Mother Hong Kong Arts Centre – founded by Sit in 2004 to groom young talents in performing arts – will then coach the young stars in preparation for the show.

During the auditions, all talents – aged 8 to 13 – were expected to act, sing and dance, as well as deliver lines fluently in Mandarin.
