Venus Wong excited for her first action drama

19 May - Hong Kong actress Venus Wong is ecstatic about playing a leading role for the first time in an action drama through TVB's "Flying Tiger".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at the production commencement ceremony of the said drama recently, shared that she is playing the sole female member of the Special Duties Unit (SDU) and has been doing a lot of training to ensure that she is fit for the role.

"I hope I will get the opportunity to show the fruits of my labour," she said.

Playing the love interest of Bosco Wong's character in the new drama, Venus shared that she is not worried about being romantically linked to the actor, calling herself the 'scandal insulator'.

"I am sure I will be okay," said the actress confidently. "I am an insulator when it comes to scandals. Never passed one."

When asked if boyfriend, director Derek Tsang is assured and not worried about her working with Bosco, she lightheartedly responded, "He's a confident man."

Venus also shared several photos from the event online recently, and revealed that it has been a dream of hers to star in an action drama. The actress added that she couldn't believe she is working alongside top actors in a project about the Flying Tigers.

"This opportunity will be a new challenge in the coming months. Looking forward to work with all the seniors!," she added.
