Veep‘s long-suffering “bag man’ Gary Walsh has “no identity outside of Selina Meyer” — and that should make for a fascinating Season 6 arc for his portrayer, Tony Hale.

The two-time Emmy winner hinted to Michael Ausiello at TVLine’s Comic-Con studio presented by ZTE that Gary will face a “crisis” following Selina losing her position as leader of the free world in Season 5’s finale — especially since Gary’s delusions of invaluableness to the erstwhile POTUS aren’t necessarily mutual.

Meanwhile, grilled about the possibility of fresh episodes of Arrested Development, Hale remained cautiously optimistic. His former cast members want to make it work, he offered, but it’s a matter of scheduling. That said, on a personal note, Hale said he wants to know where his Buster Bluth’s relationship with Liza Minnelli’s Lucille Austero winds up.

And what about Veep‘s Labor Day mystery? Let’s just say Hale has his theories — ones that might bring a whole new meaning to the phrase “where the bodies are buried.”
