The bassist from Vampire Weekend has announced that he will be teaming up with the DJ and producer Mike Green, also known as Fort Romeau, in the new duo C.Y.M.
According to Pitchfork, the two musicians will release their debut collaborative EP on November 15 via London-based DJ Erol Alkan's Phantasy Sound label.
Phantasy Sound described the upcoming collection of three songs as "an elegant pean to the infinite possibilities of kosmische music, driven by a motorik strain of psychedelia."
Although details about the self-titled project are still scarce to this date, Baio revealed that the EP will feature guest contributions from fellow Vampire Weekend bandmate Chris Tomson and English producer Luke Abbott.
In addition to forming C.Y.M, Mike Green released his third studio album, "Heaven & Earth," under his moniker Fort Romeau last February.
Meanwhile, Baio has recently launched the podcast "The Road Taken With CT and Baio" that he co-hosts with Tomson for The Ringer.
"It's about the experience of being a touring musician. We talked to some rad people," he teased on Instagram.
Former guests include singer-songwriter Michelle Branch, multi-instrumentalist Ray Suen, rapper and producer Havoc of Mobb Deep, as well as the Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney.
Baio unveiled his fourth studio album with Vampire Weekend, entitled "Father of the Bride," last May. He released his sophomore solo LP, "Man of The World," in 2017.
