Russell Crowe plays a man on the edge in the brand new trailer for Unhinged, the road rage thriller aiming to be the first big release to hit cinemas when cinemas fully reopen.

The UK release date has officially been pushed back 31 July from 17 July, after Tenet and Mulan both slipped back into August, and Altitude has released a new trailer to mark the new date.

Crowe plays a deranged stalker who makes the life of a young mother – Slow West’s Caren Pistorious – a living hell in a road rage incident that descends into a hellish battle of wills.

Cinemas can officially open from Saturday, 4 July, but both Cineworld and Vue have delayed plans to reopen to 31 July, the weekend Unhinged is aiming for release.

Here’s a synopsis for Unhinged: UNHINGED takes an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of a mother (Caren Pistorious SLOW WEST) who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy (Crowe). ‘Road rage’ doesn't begin to describe what he's about to do to her and everyone she knows.

Directed by Derrick Borte (AMERICAN DREAMER) UNHINGED is written by Carl Ellsworth (RED EYE, DISTURBIA) and produced by Lisa Ellzey (WARRIOR, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN).
