Chris Harrison Has Left ‘The Bachelorette’ Set

From Cosmopolitan

  • Chris Harrison has left The Bachelorette set.

  • Reminder: Everyone on-set is required to quarantine...meaning Chris might not be filming for several weeks?

Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette remains the most confusing thing ever, and on top of everything else, Chris Harrison seems to have left the locked-down set. Why, you ask? To drop his son off at college in Texas, which, on the one hand, very cute:

But on the other hand—and as one of Chris Harrison’s commenters mused—“WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING IN BACHELOR WORLD!!! Also, Free Britney.”

As you’re likely well aware, (1) Chris Harrison hosts The Bachelorette, and (2) The Bachelorette is currently filming. And while in normal circumstances ditching set for a few days would be no bigs, these are not normal circumstances. The entire cast and crew are fully locked down at a resort for COVID safety reasons, and on top of that, they reportedly had to quarantine for two weeks before filming. Meaning that since Chris Harrison left set, he‘ll presumably have to take a full two-week quarantine break before diving back in.

Meanwhile, Chris’s trip to Texas comes as Tayshia Adams takes over for Clare Crawley as Bachelorette. And since Tayshia is reportedly already on-set, Chris possibly leaving for two weeks (assuming quarantine is happening) doesn’t really make sense.

Either way, ABC is offering basically zero info about what’s going on over in Palm Springs, so it looks like we’ll have to wait till the season airs to find out WTF is happening—including why Chris left and when he’s returning.
