Uhhh, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Were Fully Dating Each Other Post-Split
This just in, apparently?! Kristin Cavallari revealed that she and her ex Jay Cutler dated after splitting up in April 2020. Speaking on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast (via Page Six), Kristin said she and Jay went on several dates but she “decided I didn’t want to be in a toxic relationship anymore.”
“There’s been times over the last 18 months where I’m like, ‘Is this the right decision?’ Jay [and] I actually went on a couple of dates, like, months and months and months ago,” she explained, adding, “But then I was like…it’s not there for me anymore.”
“The thing with Jay is, we aren’t getting our divorce because of love lost, right, which made it really challenging because we were crazy about each other,” she said. “And so I just decided I didn’t want to be in a toxic relationship anymore and I had to break it off. But that’s made it hard and made me sit here and question it for a few months. But then going back and dating him a little bit made me reaffirm it like, ‘No, I know that I’m doing the right decision.’”
FYI, Kristin previously told People that she and Jay are completely focused on co-parenting their kids, saying, “It has its challenges for sure, especially in the beginning when everything is so fresh still. But we’re just navigating it the best way we know how.”
She added, “Never put the kids in the middle of it, no matter how mad you are at your ex-spouse. One thing that my mom did was she never said anything bad about my dad. Now that I’m older, I really respect that. I always want my kids to see Jay and me as a united front. He’s their father. That’s important and they need to see that from me.”
