Sad news, JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew shippers: The adorable pair may have called it quits. The only upside? It’s all just speculation right now. JoJo has made a series of comments as of late that have the duo’s relationship stans (aka everyone) praying to the powers that be that it ain’t so.

In a recent and very lengthy Instagram caption, JoJo detailed some of the challenges that have come with competing on Dancing With the Stars as well as personal matters she has been dealing with—although with the latter, she was very general.

“This has been a WEEK. My brain has never been so overwhelmed/overloaded with not only work but also personal life,” read the first part of the caption. JoJo later continued, “This week of my life has taught me SO much. Live in the moment. Smile however you can. Whatever it takes to be happy, do it. My brain is dead, my knees are bruised, and my puppy is cute. That’s what is coming to my mind right now!…Even though this week has been one of the hardest in my life for so many different reasons, it’s also been one of the best.”

In an interview with People while on the red carpet at the 2021 Women’s Image Awards, JoJo seemingly hinted at the split again. She said, “I struggle when anything is new, and I went through something that was new and I have never gone through before. It was tough and it is still tough. I cried about it last night and I’m probably gonna cry about it tonight because I’m 18 and I’m missing a piece of me that is the biggest piece of me, and that’s okay.” Hmmm. Again, nothing explicit but def still causing eyebrow raises.

Then, in JoJo’s acceptance speech for the Rising Music Star honor at the awards ceremony, she made similar comments: “Life has funny twists and funny turns that I have never seen coming and that we all could never see coming, but trust the process,” she said.

ICYMI, JoJo and Kylie initially met on a cruise ship (adorbs!) and were besties for more than a year before officially dating in January 2021. JoJo announced her relationship with Kylie shortly after coming out on social media by wearing a “Best Gay Cousin Ever” T-shirt. The post was on the heels of fans wondering if JoJo dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” was the entertainer’s announcement of being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The couple made their red carpet debut in September 2021 for the premiere of JoJo’s Paramount+ movie The J Team.

All these comments could literally have nothing to do with JoJo and Kylie breaking up—to which we all would say phew!—and could be about something totally different happening in JoJo’s life. Either way, we hope JoJo is okay. She is performing tonight on Dancing With the Stars and may address the breakup rumors then, but again, who’s to say!
