Chocoholics rejoice, there’s a new Christmas Twix in town and it is totally getting us in the mood for the festive season.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas: Supermarket shelves are already stacked with the chocolate selection boxes, M&S has revealed its festive food collection and now Twix has launched a new limited edition flavour that promises to deliver a festive hit of deliciousness.

Developed by a team of “chocolate scientists”, Twix Winter Spice features a caramel layer that has been blended with nutmeg and cinnamon, and is sandwiched between biscuit, before the whole thing is dribbled in chocolate.

Commenting on the festive launch Kerry Cavanaugh, marketing director at Mars Wrigley UK said: “Twix Winter Spice is packed full of festive flavour and it’s the perfect treat to tuck into as you sit in front of the fire and get ready for Santa’s arrival.”

Ahead of the launch NewFoodsUK showcased a picture of the bar on Instagram alongside a heart eyes emoji and it seems people couldn’t wait to give the new treat a taste test.

“Need to find these and give them a try,” one person commented.

“WANT!” exclaimed another excited person.

Others who had managed to get their hands on the festive treat, shared their thoughts.

“I had one a few days back, they really are delicious,” one wrote.

“Not gonna lie, tried it today and tastes like the smell of a Christmas candle,” another commented.

We’re not entirely sure that’s a good thing.

If you fancy testing it out for yourself, you’d better be quick as they’re only available for a limited time of 12 weeks.
