People are sharing their funny and all-too-relatable experiences of being single on Twitter.

While many actively enjoy not being in a relationship, the hype surrounding Valentine’s Day makes it feel like just about everyone is coupled up.

That’s why, ahead of the most romantic day of the year, single people have responded on social media with the tongue-in-cheek #SignsYouAreSingle hashtag.

From sleeping and shaving habits to freezer contents and overly-close relationships with petsTwitter shares best #SignsYouAreSingle moments ahead of Valentine’s Day, Twitter users weighed in to laugh about the “single” experience.

Even Tinder and Amazon got on board.

While this viral hashtag proved a fun and light-hearted way to poke fun at life as a single person, one company recently got this very wrong.

An advert circulated by financial technology company Revolut was recently called out for “single-shaming”.

The campaign calls out the alleged 12,750 people who ordered a single takeaway last year on Valentine’s Day using the app, asking “You okay hun?”.
