Star Jaime Camil announced the news of the Desperate Housewives actress’ visit to the CW dramedy via Instagram. Leading lady Gina Rodriguez’ Snapchat reveals that Longoria is on set to direct Episode 3.

The TV film stars Cierra Ramirez (The Fosters) as a 16-year-old vampire who is sent to high school to gather fresh young blood, but then unexpectedly starts to grow a conscience.

* Ciara has joined the judges’ panel for the 2017 Miss America Competition, alongside Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, country singer Cole Swindell, actresses Sara Foster (Barely Famous) and Laura Marano (Austin & Ally), and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, EW.com reports.

* Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland) will guest-star on ABC’s new comedy American Housewife (debuting Oct. 11) as the distant mother of Katy Mixon’s character, EW.com reports.

* SNL alum Cheri Oteri will recur on Season 2 of truTV’s Those Who Can’t (premiering Thursday, Oct. 6), playing the school’s new principal, Cattie Goodman.
