TVB stars not surprised by Kenneth Ma's hectic schedule

23 Feb - While fans were shocked to hear that Kenneth Ma recently had to stay up for more than 27 hours to shoot his new drama, TVB stars who heard it brushed it off as part and parcel of being an actor.

As reported on Mingpao News, Charmaine Sheh, who appeared at an event recently, stated that such a hectic schedule is common not only in the TV world, but in films as well.

"When you get good results, you'll forget about the difficulty you went through," she said.

On the other hand, actor Cheung Kwok Cheung, who was told about Kenneth's "Deep in the Realm of Conscience" schedule, stated that it was nothing new to him.

"When I was filming for ATV drama in the past, there would be instances where I would be filming for five days and four nights straight," he said.

Cheung also stated that another TVB star Ruco Chan had it tough as well recently, filming "The Alliance" for hours on end.

When asked if anybody has ever made a complaint to TVB, the actor stated that it has been mentioned before, although added that actors are not the only people who are affected by such a schedule.

"The crew is also having a hard time," he said.
