TVB to produce Beyond the Realm of Conscience 2"

29 Aug - In addition to "Line Walker 2" and "Again at the Threshold of an Era", it was reported that TVB is set to produce the sequel to its 2009 hit drama, "Beyond the Realm of Conscience".

As reported on Newsweek, the upcoming drama will be one of the collection of dramas which will be produced in celebration of TVB's 50th anniversary next year.

Reportedly, it will have 36 episodes and will also mark the return of actor Steven Ma.

When asked about it recently, producer Mui Siu Ching, who herself just returned to TVB this year alongside partner Lau Ka Ho, confirmed the news, saying that they are planning to create a better version of the original.

"It's going to be set in the Tang Dynasty like the original, and there will be three pairs of male and female leads in the drama. Steven will be one of them," said Mui.

She also admitted that TVB has offered Steven a huge sum of money for his return.

The original drama tells the story of palace maid Lau Sam Ho and her relations in the Imperial Palace. It stars Charmaine Sheh, Tavia Yeung, Moses Chan, and Kevin Cheng among the rest.

Three of the stars are now no longer with TVB, sparking rumours that Eliza Sam and Tracy Chu may be replacing the lead actresses.
