TVB dismisses rumours regarding "Realm" streaming issue

25 May – TVB top management has recently dismissed all rumours pertaining the streaming delay of the new period drama, "Deep in the Realm of Conscience".

As reported on Mingpao, in a media briefing held in TVB City recently, the executives were asked about several rumours concerning the delay, including one involving Nancy Wu's participation in the Occupy Central protest in 2014, and reports about SART's new rule of reducing the number of dramas revolving around palace struggles.

To that, TVB Deputy General Manager Felix To replied, "I cannot respond to so many speculations, as many of them are [fabricated]. The mainland party (Tencent) has its own calculations regarding the arrangements, so I can't answer that for them."

To also stated that he sees no issue in all the other rumours about the drama.

"Tencent is working it out, so we don't have an answer to that," he added.

On the other hand, TVB Group CEO Mark Lee stated that the drama is a co-production and that TVB is only responsible for the Hong Kong broadcast.

"The mainland copyright is being handled by the mainland camp. The issue of streaming schedule is not related to TVB. We have already reached our goal," he added.
