Trump Hits Record Disapproval Rating of Any Newly-Inaugurated President

Donald Trump’s approval rating has hit a record low, not just for his own presidency, but a record low for any newly inaugurated commander-in-chief, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

While 48 percent disapprove of his performance thus far (compared to 44 percent approval), 32 percent of those polled believe that his first 30 days in office demonstrate that he’s not up to the job of POTUS.

The president’s personal favorability rating (43 percent positive and 47 percent negative) is stable when compared to previous polls, as are his net positive scores on decisiveness, ability to “get things done” and fitness to deal with the economy.
