Travelling to Bali? Visa-free entry for 9 countries and where to stay

Bali-lovers rejoice! Visa-free entry is now available for nine nationalities: Brunei, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The single visa-free entry is only applicable for 30 days only, and it is not extendable. Not only that, the completion of e-HAC form is no longer required for International arrivals and no three-night CHSE-approved hotel booking needed.

This comes after the Indonesian government announced last month as of 8th March, fully vaccinated foreign travellers need not undergo hotel quarantine when they arrive internationally into Bali. On top of that, effective 8 June, pre-departure PCR test result is no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers.
Masks are also no longer required when outside.

However, a few requirements still apply, like obtaining a Visa On Arrival (VOA) programme for 43 selected countries.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Tourism, Republic of Indonesia, these are the 43 countries subjected to the VOA policy: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, East Timor, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, UK, USA and Vietnam.

All passengers fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated, entering Indonesia must comply with the mandatory use of a three-ply cloth mask or a medical mask on flights.

To comply with the regulations here's what you should follow:

1. Download the PeduliLindungi app.

2. Present the card or certificate (physical or digital) of receiving a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccine which is administered at least 14 (fourteen) days before departure written in English other than the language of the country/region of origin of arrival.

3. Complete the e-CD (Customs App)

4. Have proof of confirmation of booking and payment of accommodation

5. Complete your Single Entry Visa (B211A) application form online.

6. The PCR test on arrival will only apply to those that show symptoms or have a temperature of 37.5 degrees Celcius or higher during the health monitoring on arrival

7. Don't forget to apply for Visa on Arrival at the Immigration counter

8. Show proof of ownership of travel insurance which includes financing for handling COVID-19 and medical evacuation to a referral hospital with a minimum coverage value equivalent to S$25,000

9. After immigration and customs point, pick up your luggage and head to your booked accommodation
