Travel + Leisure Readers' 10 Favorite Resorts in Greece of 2024
From beachfront hideaways to dramatic clifftop retreats, these are Greece’s best resorts according to the results of our “World’s Best Awards” survey for 2024.
There’s a reason Greece ranks so high on travelers’ wishlists. With 227 islands, 15 international airports, and about 250 days of sunshine per year, the country puts paradise well within reach. And while a typical Greek getaway conjures up images of splashing around in the Aegean Sea or exploring whitewashed hilltop towns, the best Grecian resorts offer a well-rounded mix of amenities and exploits — whether your idea of holiday bliss involves spa pampering, horseback riding, or sailing around windswept islands.
How Voting Works
Every year for our World's Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Over 186,000 T+L readers completed the 2024 survey. A total of more than 700,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria below:
Rooms/facilities
Location
Service
Food
Value
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.

What Readers Loved
It should come as no surprise that the majority of this year’s top resorts are located on Mykonos and Santorini. The Cyclades’ most popular islands deliver on the sun-drenched style, sea views, and buzz factor that most travelers associate with Greek island getaways. For the second year in a row, Santorini’s Andronis Boutique Hotel has claimed the No. 2 spot on this list, wowing Travel + Leisure readers with its cliff-hugging cave suites, sweeping Aegean views, and proximity to the island’s most famous sunset spot. But increasingly, travelers are skipping the islands and setting off to discover the traditional villages and quiet coastal enclaves on the Peloponnese peninsula, jutting off the southern tip of Greece’s mainland. There, you’ll find reader-favorite resorts including Amanzoe (No.10) and the Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino (No. 4), the latter of which offers coastal beauty to rival anything you’d find on the islands. “This is the perfect alternative to Greek destinations that have become overly saturated,” commented one reader, who also gushed about its residential-inspired design and outstanding dining. Which property claimed the No. 1 spot? Read on to find out.
The Winner
Kalesma Mykonos

Just three years after opening, this stunning clifftop retreat has been crowned the No. 1 resort in Greece. And while it’s not easy to turn heads on Mykonos, Kalesma has managed to do exactly that with its intimate size (just 25 suites and two villas, all with private pools), sceney Pere Ubu restaurant, and new state-of-the-art spa with Dr. Barbara Sturm treatments and products. It’s also the only hotel in the world with furniture by legendary fashion designer Rick Owens. But its cool factor isn’t the only thing that won over readers. Set on the island’s rugged southwest end and surrounded by olive trees, grape vines, and herb gardens, the hilltop property gives travelers access to a quieter side of Mykonos, with activities ranging from scuba diving and cooking classes to tours of nearby Delos island. “Truly top-notch,” gushed one reader.
