The first trailer for I Am Paul Walker has landed online, exploring the life of the Fast & Furious actor which was cut tragically short in 2013.

The documentary has been made by the producers of I Am Heath Ledger and I Am Chris Farley, with director Adrian Buitenhuis behind the camera.

It blends home video footage released by Walker’s family, as well as candid interviews with his brothers Cody and Caleb, and his sister Ashlie.

Director Rob Cohen, creator of the Fast & Furious franchise, and friends like Tyrese Gibson also speak about the man they knew.

Walker died in a car accident during a break in filming Fast & Furious 7.

The Porsche Carrera GT that he was a passenger in hit a lamppost and caught fire, with both Walker and the car’s driver, his friend Roger Rodas, trapped inside.

The movie was eventually finished, using footage already shot of Walker, with his brothers Caleb and Cody agreeing to stand in for him in certain shots.

The film airs on the Paramount Network in the US on August 11.
