14 Sep - She went from graduating with a Master's Degree in Corporate Communication in 2015, to pursuing Juris Doctor Degree at City University of Hong Kong School of Law.
But according to TVB actress Tracy Chu, she hasn't always been the studious kind back when she was a teenager.
In an interview with Mingpao recently, Tracy shared that she used to feel so annoyed with school that she just wanted to quickly graduate and start making her own money.
"When I was 16, I started working. I've done a lot of part-time work, from tending the cash register, making coffee, delivering newspaper, to working in insurance and banking," said Tracy.
The actress also continued to work, albeit in showbiz, after she joined Miss Hong Kong. That's when she realised how important it is for her to have a proper education.
"I didn't understand how fun it is to study before. Now that I have returned to campus, I realised how good it is [to exercise my brain]," she added.
When asked if she has any regrets taking a break from acting during her peak period, Tracy said that she is not worried about that.
"Having a lot of jobs today doesn't mean you're secured. People might like your dramas today, but what would happen if one day their taste changes? What will I do then? It's good to study. If I leave this line of work in the future, I will not be out of touch with the real world," she said.
