New in town: Nomstar – Punggol’s seafront just got cooler with 5 famous Asian restaurants under one roof
Just sit down and think for just a second (ok maybe a minute). You live in Punggol and you crave pho from Mrs Pho or ramen from Tsuta, there’s just one problem— they are all located so far away in town! Nomstar, nestled at Northshore Plaza, might just solve all of your travelling problems— by offering five famous Asian restaurants in one enclave.
Nomstar officially launched on 2 July 2022 and it offers great views of the punggol waterfront while you enjoy your food from any of the five famed establishments. Let’s take a look at what’s available there.
Tim Ho Wan— serving award-winning authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum with signatures like their Baked BBQ Pork Buns (S$8.60 for 3), Pan-fried Radish Cakes (S$6.20 for 3) and BBQ Pork Rice Rolls (S$7.30).
Thai Lae Dee— one of Bangkok‘s famous 24-hour restaurant chains. Choose from their delicious Pad Thai Chicken (S$7.50), Tom Yum Seafood With Rice (S$9.80) or Green Curry Chicken With Rice (S$8).
Mrs Pho— serving authentic heartwarming Vietnamese fare like Sliced Beef Pho (S$9.90), Fresh Summer Roll (S$5.50) and Grilled Pork Chop Rice Platter (S$10.90).
Hawker Chan— international franchise of the humble Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle which is helmed by Chef Chan Hon Meng, famed for their crowd favourites like Soya Sauce Chicken Rice (S$6.80), Roasted Pork Noodle (S$8.80) and 3 Combination Platter (S$17).
Tsuta— their flagship restaurant in Japan was the first to receive a Michelin star back in 2016. Indulge in their soba offerings like Tonkotsu Soba (S$8.80), Mala Tonkotsu Soba (S$9.80) and Teriyaki Chicken Paitan Soba (S$8.80).
